REACHING OUT

Community Work

CLC are called to love and reach out into our community – firstly with the love of Jesus and secondly to offer support wherever we can.

To achieve this, we partner with our connected charity THE HOPE CENTRE, ST HELENS which was established from within CLC over 20 years ago. The Hope Centre facilitates an array of social action projects, from Foodbank, to Baby Basics and a homelessness outreach and support centre Hope House.

Supporting Foodbank

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why Foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Here’s how you can support them.

LOVING OUR TOWN

Local Church Action

We support organisations and groups working in our local communities and across our region.

Along with the Church Leaders in St Helens we pioneered the St Helens Church Action Database, connecting church groups, organisations and churches together across St Helens.

Praying for St Helens

We believe that prayer is important as we seek to hear what God is saying to us as a church, but also as a town.

In 2018, we pioneered Prayer for St Helens as a church body and have reached out in prayer across the town ever since through events, prayer meetings and resources helping people to pray together.
