If you’ve been with us on our journey for a while, you might like to consider membership. Membership of Elim is just a commitment we make as church to you, and you to us. It’s a recognition of our relationship and we’d love you to consider membership if you feel it’s right for you. We still prioritise relationship over anything else, so if you don’t want to become a member, you’ll still always be welcome at St Helens Christian Life Centre.

We believe baptism in water is important because Jesus was baptised. It was Jesus’ desire to do everything according to God’s will and one of his first acts as he started his ministry was to be baptised, demonstrating how important baptism is!
Then at the birth of the Church, on the day of Pentecost, the first sermon ever preached by the apostle Peter to those who would become the first Christians, included reference to the importance of baptism in water.

START YOUR JOURNEY
Infant Dedication is an opportunity in which Christian parents, and sometimes entire families to make a commitment before God to raise that child according to His Word and ways. Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly and prayerful way until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow Jesus.
Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God’s Word, demonstrating an example of godliness, praying earnestly for the child and being involved with the child in the life of the church.
